Athletics

St. Mary School athletic program is designed to promote sound spiritual, physical, psychological, and social development of the athletes.

We believe that athletics, and the participation in sports, has a strong potential to teach great lessons.  Participation at an early age helps lay the foundations for who we are, and who we are to become in the eyes of God.

In everything we do, we are called to further the Kingdom of God. In learning the fundamental skills associated with various sports, we condition the body and create healthy habits.  Participation in team sports teaches discipline, dedication, leadership, self control and humility.  It also helps provide some of life’s first challenges for the athletes, and by seeking the assistance of God the Father, we learn to overcome those obstacles in a manner that is pleasing to Him.

St. Mary School is committed to offering several sports for boys and girls from 5th through 8th grade.  Participation in athletics is looked upon as a privilege and should be seen as a commitment that comes prioritized after God, Family, and Academics.
