The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a world-wide organization of Catholic men and women volunteering to help those in need – spiritually, economically, and emotionally. The St. Mary Conference has been helping people in the Woodstock area since 2003.
Our team meets twice a month to pray together and discuss activities at hand. This allows us to grow spiritually and help those in need as we are called to do. For Scripture says “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” (Matthew 25: 35-36). This is what we are all about.
Anyone in need of help from our St. Vincent de Paul Society should call the same number listed above (815-334-7711) and leave their contact information along with a description of what their need is. Our voice mail system is checked at least once a day Monday - Friday. St. Vincent de Paul provides assistance to all people regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender, or political opinions. You do not have to be Catholic to obtain assistance.
St. Vincent de Paul relies solely upon your generosity to help serve those who are financially struggling. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation you may do so through the parish collection, by stopping by the parish office or electronically below.
Do you have an old car that you would like to donate to the St. Vincent de Paul Society? Your donation will not only provide you with a tax deduction, but it will also provide valuable funds to our society so that we can continue assisting those who are in need.
