An Introduction to St. Mary Catholic School
Welcome to St. Mary Catholic
School, at the heart of Catholic education
since
1916!
St. Mary Catholic School is the
cornerstone of Catholic education in Woodstock, Illinois and throughout
central McHenry County.
Our school welcomes all families who
believe in commitments to Catholic education, Christian values,
exemplary academic achievement and a superior pre-school through eighth
grade elementary school curriculum.
Families choose St. Mary Catholic School for an education that
integrates Catholic religious instruction and advanced preparatory
academics, while supporting the Christian virtues and morals taught in
the home.
St. Mary offers pre-school, all day Kindergarten, elementary classes
from 1st through 5th grade and junior high classes from 6th through 8th
grade.
Daily
religious education, a weekly all-school Mass, and sacramental
preparation place the Catholic faith at the center of St. Mary Catholic
School’s mission.
Older students mentor our younger students through our prayer partner
program. This bond develops and supports a special relationship between
students that lasts throughout their school years.
St. Mary students, on average, place one to three grade levels above the
average school grade level on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and more
than two-thirds of St. Mary School graduates achieve honor roll status
during their high school years.
St. Mary School offers many physical amenities including a complete
auditorium, large gymnasium, cafeteria serving hot lunch daily, advanced
IT Lab, library and dedicated art studio/classroom.
St. Mary’s “Fighting Irish” offers a full array of athletics including
basketball, volleyball, football, track and cheerleading.
Financial aid is available.
