Students at St. Mary's will generally begin their day is religious instruction during first period. Students in grades 3-8 will use the "Faith and Life" series published by Ignatius Press. Students in grades 1-3 will use the "Faith First" series published by RCL Benzinger. And students in preschool-kindergarten will use the "Image of God" series published by Ignatius Press. Though the heart of this daily religious instruction takes place during religion class, we strive to continually incorporate our faith into everything we do.
Another key component of our religious curriculum is the Virtues in Action Program. Each month, students, faculty and parents are given a specific Christian virtue to reflect upon. The Catholic Identity Committee provides a detailed outline each month of a specific virtue so as to help the priests, teachers and parents provide virtue formation in an accurate and consistent way.
