All School Mass & Confession

At the heart of our spiritual life as Catholics is the Liturgy. Every Wednesday morning, students and faculty come together to celebrate Mass as a family in Christ. The celebration of Mass allows the parish priests an opportunity to address our students' spiritual needs. All parents and other family members are welcome to attend all school celebrations of the Mass. Students also attend an additional daily Mass during the week. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available to students on a rotating schedule after Wednesday Mass. Our priests and teachers prepare our students for this sacrament at the class level, ensuring an age-appropriate celebration.

Religious Curriculum

Students begin their day in prayer. Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade use the Spirit of Truth series published by Sophia Institute for theological study. Students in preschool learn about their faith through Bible stories and Catholic traditions.

Virtues In Action

A key component of our religious curriculum is the Virtues in Action Program. Each month, students, faculty, and parents are given a specific Christian virtue to reflect on. Our Catholic Identity Committee provides a detailed outline of the virtue to help the priests, teachers, and parents guide the virtue formation of their child in an accurate and consistent way. Growing in our faith is not only about learning doctrine; it is also about growing in Christian virtue. The practice of Christian morality by our students is evident and helps create a loving and supportive environment. Not only does this assist them in living charitably, but it also helps them overcome the many temptations of selfishness, bullying, and sin.

Sacramental Preparation

The Sacraments are at the heart of our life of grace as Catholics. Sacramental preparation is integrated into the life of the school. During second grade students prepare for the celebration of their First Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Any student past second-grade, who has not had the opportunity to receive Baptism or make their First Communion and Reconciliation can participate in our "Special Sacraments" programs. After a year of preparation, the student is eligible to celebrate the sacraments.

Priest Participation

Our priests play an essential part in the overall faith life of our parish and school. Each week, our priests spend time in different classrooms providing students with an opportunity for one-on-one interaction. Parents are welcome to contact our priests for pastoral guidance and assistance. As a Catholic school, the pastor is the primary shepherd and administrator of our school. He strives to fulfill his administrative role through regular meetings with the principal and faculty.
